ABOUT US
We first noticed each other at a New Year’s Eve dinner in Malibu, from across the room, before ever saying a word. When we finally met, the conversation felt easy from the start, and not long after, we began dating and haven’t been apart since. Around that time, Los Angeles was burning and we both had to evacuate our homes, an early reminder of how quickly things can change and how important it is to hold onto what matters.
Since then, we’ve built a life together, in motion, from quiet stretches at home to exploring other cities and sharing adventures along the way. Somewhere in it all, we got engaged. It felt natural, certain, and right.
We met at a celebration for a new year, and have found every reason to celebrate since. Now, as our wedding weekend approaches, we can’t wait to bring everyone together in Ojai to celebrate this next chapter with us.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Below is our weekend schedule, with plenty of time to relax, explore Ojai, and enjoy the festivities!
All events will take place at Hotel El Roblar, which we've reserved exclusively for our guests.
To help keep our celebration private (and party-crasher-free!), each guest will receive a James & Jo wristband to wear throughout the weekend. Simply check in with the front desk or valet team upon arrival to pick yours up. Please keep it on throughout the weekend so you can come and go as you please.

If you’re staying somewhere not listed above, please plan to drive yourself and use the valet parking at Hotel El Roblar. If you’ve enjoyed the party a little too much to drive, shuttles will be available in the evening to get you home safely. Please don’t drink and drive. We want all of you safe and sound on Sunday morning!

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS
Whether you join us for the day or the whole weekend, we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
All the wedding festivities will take place at Hotel El Roblar, in the heart of Ojai, approximately 90 minutes from Los Angeles and an easy, scenic drive into the valley.
Airports
The closest commercial airports are Santa Barbara (approximately 45 minutes away), Burbank (about 1.5 hours), and Los Angeles (about 1.5–2 hours). For guests flying privately, Camarillo Airport is approximately 40 minutes away.
Accommodations
Hotel El Roblar has been exclusively reserved for our wedding weekend and is currently fully booked.
If you already have a reservation, all existing booking details remain unchanged. A 20% adjustment to room rates and taxes will be applied upon check-in.
Occasionally, rooms may become available due to cancellations. Please contact the hotel directly at 805-322-0525 and mention the James & Jo wedding for assistance with existing reservations or availability inquiries.

For guests seeking an exceptional Ojai experience, a limited number of private residences are available at the Turtle Conservancy and Twin Peaks Ranch, two extraordinary properties located approximately 10 minutes from Hotel El Roblar. Owned by one of Hotel El Roblar's partners and rarely available to outside guests, these residences have been reserved exclusively for James & Jo's wedding weekend. Set among 90 acres of citrus groves, gardens, and protected conservation land, the properties offer a serene retreat and a unique opportunity to experience one of Ojai's most remarkable private estates.

THINGS TO DO
Nestled at the base of the Topatopa Mountains, Ojai invites you to slow down and take in its natural beauty, charming downtown, and laid-back atmosphere.
Wander through town with a coffee from The Dutchess or a smoothie from The Blend in hand, and discover a mix of thoughtfully curated shops like Shop Summer Camp, Cercana, and Fig Curated Living, along with Bart’s Books, the open-air bookstore that’s become something of a local landmark.
The Ojai Holiday Home Tour & Market is taking place November 14 and 15, offering a glimpse inside three distinctive private residences decorated for the holidays, along with a charming Tiny Home Village. An open-air market at Libbey Park will also feature more than 50 local artisans showcasing handmade ceramics, jewelry, art, vintage finds, and specialty foods, along with live music throughout the weekend.
There are also a handful of wine tasting rooms in town, including The Ojai Vineyard Tasting Room and Majestic Oak Vineyard, with Casa Barranca a short drive away.
Beyond downtown, Ojai's citrus groves and scenic trails invite you to explore the surrounding valley. Visit the Ojai Olive Oil Company for a tasting, book a pottery class at Firestick Pottery, take a hike through the Ventura River Preserve, enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the Ojai Valley Trail, or go horseback riding with Ojai Valley Trail Riding Company.
For something a little different, the Turtle Conservancy offers private tours of its protected land and desert tortoise preserve, which can be arranged through the concierge for hotel guests.
And if you're around at sunset, don't miss Ojai's famous "Pink Moment," when the mountains glow in soft shades of pink and lavender.
QUESTIONS
Do I need to stay at Hotel El Roblar?
Not at all! While all wedding weekend events will take place at Hotel El Roblar and we'd love to have everyone together, you're welcome to stay wherever is most convenient for you.
Hotel El Roblar is currently fully booked, but we've included nearby hotel recommendations on our Accommodations page. Our dear friend Nina Nazar is also available to assist with alternative accommodations.
If I'm staying at Hotel El Roblar, do I still need a wristband?
Yes! Hotel El Roblar has been reserved exclusively for our wedding guests, and wristbands help the hotel team identify everyone, whether you're staying on property or elsewhere.
Please pick up your wristband from the front desk or valet team upon arrival and wear it throughout the weekend so you can come and go with ease and help keep our celebration private and party-crasher-free!
Will transportation be provided for guests staying outside Hotel El Roblar?
Multiple complimentary shuttles will provide transportation from select hotels and locations for Saturday's wedding ceremony and reception. Please see the Shuttle Schedule on our Schedule page for pickup times and locations.
There will be no scheduled shuttle service on Friday or Sunday. Guests are welcome to drive or walk to Hotel El Roblar, where valet parking will be available.
Throughout the weekend, return transportation can be arranged for guests who have had too much to drink to drive safely.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive between 3:45 PM and 4:15 PM so everyone can be seated before the ceremony begins PROMPTLY AT 4:30 PM. The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes.
Where is the ceremony and reception taking place? Will they be held indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be held outdoors on The Lawn at Hotel El Roblar. We recommend bringing a jacket or wrap, as it may be cool. Shoes suitable for grass (think wedges, block heels, or flats) are also encouraged. The reception will follow indoors in The Mariposa Ballroom.
What will the weather be like?
November in Ojai typically brings pleasant days and chilly evenings. Temperatures during our wedding weekend are currently expected to reach the upper 60s to mid-70s during the day, dipping into the 40s overnight. We recommend bringing layers and checking the forecast before traveling.
Can I bring a plus-one?
We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Of course! If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let our planning team know in advance at Brita@littlecreekevents.com or Ally@littlecreekevents.com so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
Can we take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so you can be fully present with us. Our photographer will capture all the special moments.
Outside the ceremony, please take photos all weekend long!
What should I know about Sunday's Farewell Breakfast?
Our Farewell Breakfast will take place at La Cocina from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Breakfast is complimentary for guests staying at Hotel El Roblar.
